TERMS OF SERVICE

Reckon is a 70-question founder archetype assessment. The output is a written report and a visual scorecard. The product is for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not professional advice.

Specifically, the report is not:

• Career counseling.
• Business or investment advice.
• Financial advice.
• Psychological assessment, diagnosis, or therapy.
• A prediction of any specific outcome in your life.

The report is anchored on validated psychometric instruments (Big Five aspects plus risk tolerance, locus of control, and need for achievement) and a proprietary archetype system. It describes patterns. It does not tell the future. Decisions about starting, joining, or leaving a business should involve a lot more than a personality assessment, and the responsibility for those decisions is yours alone.

You take the assessment under an email you control. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email and the responses you submit. The assessment cannot be back-navigated; once you submit a question, the response is recorded. If you give responses you don't actually mean, the report you get back will reflect those responses, not the person you intended to portray.

You may not:

• Take the assessment under an email you don't control.
• Submit responses on behalf of someone else without their knowledge.
• Use automated tools to scrape, mass-submit, or interfere with the product.
• Take the assessment 100 times to game the result.
• Resell, repackage, or commercially exploit the report or the visual scorecard.

You may:

• Share your visual scorecard freely on social media or anywhere else.
• Share the link to your report with anyone you want.
• Quote from your report when discussing your own results.
• Reference Reckon in writing or commentary about personality assessments.

Reckon is $20 one-time. There is no subscription. Your report stays at its stable URL indefinitely.

Refund policy. Seven days, no questions asked. Request a refund from the refund page or directly from your report page. We refund to the original payment method via Stripe.

Auto-refund safety net. If our system fails to generate your report after 48 hours of automatic retries, we refund you automatically and email you.

The report we generate for you is yours. We retain the right to operate the product (host the report URL, render the scorecard, send the email) and to use aggregated data per the privacy policy. We do not claim ownership of your responses or your individual report.

The Reckon brand, the assessment instrument, the question bank, the archetype system, the scoring algorithm, and the website are ours. You don't get to white-label, embed, or commercially redistribute any of those.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reckon is not liable for any decision you make based on the report. That includes business decisions, career decisions, financial decisions, relationship decisions, or any other decision. The report is a mirror, not a directive.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Reckon is capped at the amount you paid at the time of your transaction.

We do not warrant that the product will be available without interruption, that the LLM will always produce a flawless report, or that the assessment will produce the same archetype if you retake it under different conditions. Personality assessments contain measurement error; this is true of every instrument in the field, ours included.

Don't:

• Run automated scraping or bulk requests against the site.
• Reverse-engineer the question bank or scoring algorithm and republish it.
• Submit responses designed to test our content guardrails (we have a separate research contact for this; email us).
• Impersonate anyone, including by taking the assessment under their email.
• Use the product in any way that would expose Reckon to legal liability.

We can suspend access for any of the above. If we do, you can request a refund or a data deletion.

Reckon measures personality traits using the conventions of the field. It does not diagnose mental health conditions. Elevated Neuroticism is not anxiety. Low Agreeableness is not antisocial. Low Conscientiousness is not ADHD. The report explicitly stays out of clinical territory and we ask that you read it the same way.

If you are considering significant life decisions and you want professional support, talk to a licensed professional (a therapist, a coach, a financial advisor, a lawyer, depending on the decision). The Reckon report is not a substitute for any of them.

You can retake the assessment after 30 days from the same email (email hello@reckon.report to arrange it). The 30-day cooldown exists to prevent gaming the result.

Each retake produces a new report at a new URL. We do not delete prior reports unless you request it.

If we change these terms materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and email anyone with an active assessment. Trivial wording changes will not trigger an email.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of that state, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
